Do I need to personally appear in court?
Most of our clients would like to avoid having to go to court at all costs. For our clients charged with misdemeanors, our office makes all of the appearances for you. Pursuant to Penal Code 977, in all cases in which the accused is charged with a misdemeanor only, he or she may appear by counsel only, unless the accused is charged with a misdemeanor offense involving domestic violence.
